I went out to try to shoot the ISS again, but it was lower in the sky and though still kind of neat to see, it just wasn't as spectacular as the previous night. But since I was already outside freezing my ass off I thought I'd take a quick shot of the city.
It's hard to beat the cold, crisp nights.
This evening the International Space Station made a quick, 4 minute pass over the heart of Atlanta leaving a brilliant and perfect line across the southern sky. I only had a couple of minutes to prepare and test a shot or two, especially since it came from an unexpected direction (I likely misread the description) but I managed to catch a couple of shots. If you didn't get to see it, it looked something like this. :)
A typical scene all around Atlanta this month. Last night I waited in line with others for about an hour. No sooner had I taken my place as the last in line than two dozen others filed in behind me.
Some took advantage of the traffic jams to sneak in with cans to fill between cars. Some for stranded vehicles elsewhere, some in hopes of capitalizing on the situation should it worsen.
